Ángel and his younger brother Franco have been incarcerated in a juvenile prison for a year. Despite the difficulties, they have formed a solid group of friends with whom they spend their days sharing dreams of freedom. Everything changes when the arrival of a rebellious young man offers a possible escape: the only door to make those dreams come true.
Based on real events, Mapuche director Claudia Huaiquimilla paints a complex image of imprisoned youth clearly depicting the love and care they show toward each other day by day. These moments of love, joy, and care illuminate a warm, tender side of these young people, who are usually reduced to the stereotypical patterns of savagery, aggression, and other uncontrollable behavior.
Ángel y su hermano menor Franco llevan un año encarcelados en una prisión de menores. A pesar de las dificultades, han formado un sólido grupo de amigos con los que pasan los días compartiendo sueños de libertad. Todo cambia cuando la llegada de un joven rebelde ofrece una posible vía de escape: la única puerta para hacer realidad esos sueños.
Basada en hechos reales, la directora mapuche Claudia Huaiquimilla pinta una imagen compleja de jóvenes encarcelados que muestra claramente el amor y el cuidado que se muestran unos a otros día a día. Estos momentos de amor, alegría y cuidado iluminan un lado cálido y tierno de estos jóvenes, que generalmente se ven reducidos a patrones estereotipados de salvajismo, agresión y otros comportamientos incontrolables.
